CALLUM Jones was the driving force as Ashton Boys C roared to a 5-1 win over Almondsbury in Division IV.
Jones latched on to a superb through-ball from Louis Partington to fire them in front and Jack Saunderson made it 2-0 at the break.
Sheldon Chappell added a third following some great build-up play from Jones. Ben Pope made it 4-0 with a well-taken goal and Jack Alford added a fifth before Almondsbury hit a consolation goal.
In the same section, the newly-created
Coalpit Heath A, meanwhile, got off to a flier in Division II as they beat Brislington 4-0.
Imperial Saints made an impressive start to their first season in Division I with an 8-0 victory over another newly-promoted team, Keynsham Town Juniors.
Saints led 2-0 at half-time following goals from George Jones, who headed home a half-volley by Josh Knight which had come back off the crossbar, and Ross Walker.
With the wind behind them, they added six second-half goals, with Walker completing his hat-trick, Jones adding a second and Harry Pruett, Louis Crimmons and Tyler Barnes chipping in.
