They'll damage your stuff and be rude about it!

I visited Smiths to have some watch batteries replaced last week and was really disappointed in the service I received. When I returned to pick up the watches the next day I noticed significant scratches on both of them. One of the watches they'd forgotten to change the battery and only did so when I prompted them too - I'm not sure what they did to the watch because it now does not work, however they conveniently offered to fix it for me...for a £75 fee. The battery in another watch failed within 24 hours. Both of these watches were previously in full working order and scratch-free. Added to this the lady behind the counter was unhelpful and unapologetic. I strongly recommend you avoid Smith's if you value your jewellery. If I could give zero stars I would.

    This is a jewellers that deserves to do well, the service is excellent. They are happy to answer your questions and don't pressure you at all.

    Top marks for Smith of Keynsham

       

    I popped in to Smith's new shop a couple of days ago, as I've been looking for a new watch for a while. I really liked the new shop - it looks very smart both inside and out.

    They had a good and varied range of watches and the assistant was very friendly, helpful and knowledgable about the products on sale, both now and in the future. The watch I really liked was a bit too pricey for everyday wear, but it's going on my Christmas list!

    Smith is in the process of moving from Temple Street to further up the High Street where Top Drawers used to be. I always liked their stock, it will be interesting to see if the shop changes much with the move.
