While most children are still enjoying the summer holidays their parents are already gearing up for the return to school.

For many it will mean a new school uniform and Sportscene in Temple Street, Keynsham, is where pupils attending both Wellsway and Broadlands schools can get fully kitted out.

The shop has a full range of clothes which meet the requirements of both of the town’s secondary schools.

It also offers a wide range of clothes and equipment for those P.E. lessons and kit for many sports including football, rugby and hockey.

Wellsway School  carried out a review during the 2005/06 academic year through consultation with parents, staff and students.  The new uniform is now compulsory for students in years 7 to 11.

It says that only uniform styles specified by the school, available through its uniform stockists, which include Sportscene, are acceptable.

Another supplier for Broadlands is John Lewis at The Mall, Cribbs Causeway.

Some parents may be looking to get uniforms dry cleaned before the new term. There are several places offering this service in Keynsham including Johnson Cleaners UK Ltd in Temple Street while The Queens Road Launderette in Queen’s Road offers dry cleaning and a launderette.

A wide range of stationery including pens, notebooks and felt tip pens can be obtained from Church’s Newsagents in High Street . Maybe a new mobile phone is needed, if so why not try Go Mobile in High Street.

For the girls a comprehensive range of undergarments are available at Perfect Fit in Temple Street.

Those needing lap-top computers should find all they need at Smart Computers in High Street.
