As pupils get ready for the start of a new term at both Wellsway and Broadlands schools it can only mean good news for Keynsham’s estate agents.

With Wellsway consistently being one of the best performing in the district some families move home to be close to the school. And for some, moving into the catchment area does sometimes help to get their children into the school of their choice. The big decision that Broadlands School was recently saved from closure will also help the property market.

Families wanting to move to Keynsham to be close to the schools can call on Davies & Way Estate Agents in High Street and Andrews Estate Agents in Temple Street both have comprehensive lists of houses available near the schools.

Of course if you are planning a move why not use Wild & Lyle Removals which is based on the Ashmead Trading Estate. During the school year Wellsway will be hoping to get the go-ahead from planners for a new £2.5 million sports hall. It will add to their already impressive sporting facilities which include a state-of-the-art all-weather floodlit sports surface where games including football, hockey and basketball can be played. Over at Broadlands they are still celebrating being saved from closure after getting the backing from the majority of residents and politicians in the town.

The go-ahead school deserved to be saved in my opinion, but the other side of the argument was that many students come from outside the local authority area to attend. My view is that it if the numbers who come from Bristol help to keep it open then that must be good news What do you think?
