A Keynsham school wins international award

A Keynsham school which has links with seven countries has won an award for its international outlook on life.
Chandag Infants School has been given the International School Award in recognition of work to bring the wider world into the classroom.
Headteacher Jane Toy was presented with the British Council-backed award by BBC newsreader George Alagiah (above).
The school is part of a two-year arts project founded by a grant from the Lifelong Learning Programme run by the European Commission.
The project called ART _ All realities and dreams come Together _ also involves schools from Italy, Portugal, Spain, Romania, Germany, Sweden and Turkey.
Chandag pupils have studied theatre, folk dance and mosaic art from Europe.
