Clean up this danger

Anyone travelling along the A4174 ring road can not have failed to notice the large amounts of litter and rubbish, not only on the grass verges but also on the carriageway.

This is particularly apparent on the stretch of road between Warmley and Emersons Green.

Apart from being an eyesore and giving a poor impression of the city to visitors, it is potentially a very dangerous hazard to traffic.

Perhaps South Gloucestershire Council could put the money they are saving by switching off lights at night to employ someone to keep this carriageway clean and tidy.

This is a year-round problem and although the council have advertising boards encouraging people to report litter, no action seems to be taken.

I feel that it is only a matter of time before a serious accident is caused by litter blowing across the carriageway.
