Keep the kids entertained in and around Keynsham this half term

There's plenty going on in and around Keynsham this half-term holiday.

There are Halloween activities taking place at Avon Valley Adventure & Wildlife Park in Keynsham and at Avon Valley Railway at Bitton
A holiday camp is running at Keynsham Leisure Centre for children aged eight to 13 from Monday, October 29. It runs weekdays from 8.30am till 4pm and activities include archery, team games, fun in the pool, a bouncy castle, softball and rounders.

There will be also be an extra pool inflatable fun session for children on Wednesday, October 31 from 2pm to 3.35pm as well as the regular Sunday one from 4-5pm.
At Avon Valley Adventure & Wildlife Park in Keynsham, there will be Halloween activities on October 29, 30 and 31, including pumpkin carving. Children who turn up in fancy dress will get half price entry to the park.
It's Heritage Open Week in Bath & North East Somerset which will see more than 20 museums, galleries and heritage sites hosting special events and activities from tomorrow until Sunday, November 4. Keynsham people will have the chance to see some fascinating archaeological treasures discovered in the town, including medieval items from the excavation of Keynsham Abbey and a Roman villa.
The collection, which will be on show at the What's in Store? event on Saturday, November 3 at the Pixash Lane Store, next to Pixash Lane Recycling Centre in Keynsham.
Saltford Brassmill will also be taking part in Heirtage Open Week.
Meanwhile at Avon Valley Railway at Bitton, a visiting steam engine will be hauling passenger trains over the half-term holidays from this Sunday until Friday, November 2 and also on Sunday, November 4. Trains have been decorated with a Halloween theme, along with the Booking Office and buffet.
Children who visit in Halloween costume will be able to travel free of charge, when accompanied by a fare-paying adult. There will also be other activities at the station during the week including a Halloween hunt.
Why not wrap up warm and head out for a walk this half-term? For the best views of Keynsham and Saltford,walk up to Kelston Roundhill. Or explore Manor Road Community Woodland at Keynsham or go for a cycle ride along the Bristol & Bath Railway Path.
