When Mr P and I started planning our big day, we trailed the

internet for the dream wedding location, we found that traditional wedding
venues were not only incredibly expensive, they simply were not to our taste, being
a budget conscious bride I was looking for a new and alternative solution to
the escalating costs of our dream day, we looked towards weekday weddings and
non traditional venues like rugby clubs, but it wasn’t for us, we had a great
idea of the place we wanted to get married in Somerset but couldn’t for the
life of us find a venue that felt perfect.
I had always said that in an ideal world I would get married
like Robin Hood, in the woods, close to water and in a venue where I could see
the stars. After searching for what seemed like and eternity going around in
circles, we stumbled across a tent at Womad festival, where I exclaimed to my
husband to be ‘this is what I want, exactly like this’. A fairy lit old canvas
tent, rustic, full of plants and open to the elements. Right then lets do
it. We looked at 101 tents, all of
them felt a bit traditional, that was of course until we saw a giant Tipi. We
were sold immediately, and I really believe that anyone who sees a giant tipi
will fall in love with their charm immediately.
The Norwegian high hats can seat 70 people, more can be
joined together to suit a bigger wedding, we had two joined together for ours,
which was perfect, fortunately we managed to find a fantastic local company
specialising in tipis based on our doorstop, www.tipievents.co.uk were phenomenal. Not only did they provide the amazing
tipis for us, they also allowed us to set them up on their farm on the banks of
Chew Valley lake, which served as the most beautiful location for our wedding,
a real dream come true, without the help of Scott and Luke at tipi events our
wedding would never have been so completely perfect.
Scott arrived onsite early in the week before the wedding,
advised us on all of our power needs for our food and lighting system, without
that we would have been totally stumped. On the day of the wedding he came back
and spent the entire day fiddling around with our lighting system ensuring that
everything was flawless for us, it is fair to say that without his help we
simply could not have done it, no word of a lie.
I can’t recommend the giant tipi and more specifically TIPI
EVENTS more highly for such a phenomenal service, for being great, helpful and
supportive people and for finding us the dream venue, location with ease. Check
out their website, links and images… then call the guys up… and book them now! Tipi Events
