ActionAid - help fight child poverty and 'Make Your Mark'
I’m working with ActionAid to help create some awareness around their ‘Make Your Mark’ campaign.
‘Make Your Mark’ is inviting people local to the South West to submit self-portraits for a huge mosaic that will be unveiled on Bristol's College Green on 1st June. The pictures will make up the face of 5-year-old Enid from Uganda, who represents the 72 million children around the world who do not attend school because of poverty.
ActionAid are looking for those last few entries from locals as the deadline is on Monday 17th May, if anyone is interested in getting creative you can download the templates from here:

As local South West folk we would love your support :)
ActionAid are holding the event to help find a thousand new child sponsors in Bristol and the West Country, so they can support children like Enid and their communities. Regular donations from sponsors help communities turn that support into whatever’s needed most – whether it’s a new school building, trained teachers, healthcare services, clean water supplies or help to build sustainable livelihoods.
West Country celebrities have already made their mark by submitting self portraits, including Bristolian comedy writer and actor Stephen Merchant; comedian Mark Watson and none-other-than Darth Vader himself (David Prowse)!
Mark Watson will also be blogging and tweeting as he makes his way around Senegal to meet some of the families affected by poverty. You can keep an eye on his progress on his Facebook & Twitter profiles.
Regards,
Alexei
