A two-car accident caused traffic chaos for two hours on the A431 at Bitton this morning.

Three fire engines attended the scene of the crash on the A431 at Bitton
Hundreds of commuters were affected as the Bristol to Bath road was blocked. Three fire engines, two ambulances and police cars attended the scene of the accident which happened around 8am near the junction with Golden Valley Lane.
It is believed that two people in one of the cars, including the driver, were cut free by fire crews. Their injuries are not known.
