Children and young people who care for a relative are being offered a family fun day at Keynsham Baptist Church on Saturday, June 23 between 2pm and 4pm.
Among the fun activities youngsters and their families can try out will be computer taster sessions, cookery workshops, fitness activities and a variety of therapies.
The event will also see the launch of B&NES Council's Young Carers Strategy.
Councillor Simon Allen (Lib-Dem, Radstock), Cabinet Member for Wellbeing, said: "Young carers display a truly remarkable commitment in providing much-needed care support at home for their loved ones.
"We are proud of their devotion and it's right to offer them our support – right down to just giving them some time to enjoy themselves, such as at the family fun day.
"The key aims of Bath & North East Somerset Council's Young Carers Strategy are to identify and assess the needs of young carers – raising awareness of the issues they and their families face so that we and our partner agencies can provide them with the support they need."
