Mrs Cartwright was a teacher at the school for 24 years and received care at the hospice before her death last month.
She had been suffering from a brain tumour and retired from teaching shortly before her death.
Mrs Cartwright held many roles at the school including head of RE, deputy head of sixth form, head of Year 12 and Year 13.
She was also head of the school's Newton House which raised £1875.97 in her memory money during its recent charity week.
Representatives from Dorothy House will be visiting Wellsway and speaking at an assembly tomorrow when house captains will hand over a cheque.
