Keynsham dads and their children can take part in a special play session at the Keynsham Children's Centre on West View Road.
The dad's stay and play group, which includes fun activities such as painting, games and crafts, meets on the second Saturday or the month between 10am and noon and the next session will be held on Saturday, February 11, and then on Saturday, March 10.
The sessions are open to any dads or male carers with children under the age of 11.
Chris Bolshaw, Keynsham Children's Centre Co-ordinator, said: "The new sessions have come about as a result of research carried out for the Council. They talked to some of the men who use the centre who said they would really like to have a group aimed specifically at dads and their children. Of course all our activities are open to any parent, it's just this group will be just for dads."
Keynsham Play Centre offers a vareity of services including groups for young parents, babies, post natal support, play sessions, a childminding group and Citizens' Advice drop-in sessions. It is open 9am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 4pm on Fridays.
