CLIC Sargent, the cancer charity for children and young people, opened the shop as its former location is due to be demolished as part of the redevelopment of the Centre.
Daleks and Star Wars storm troopers joined the crowds as the shop, one of 28 run by the charity mainly in the south west, opened its doors.
Rui was diagnosed with leukaemia in July 2009, and has been treated in Bristol. CLIC Sargent Outreach nurses and social workers provided support for the family.
Takings for the first day at the shop reached: £976.08

Reportto be clear, it's not ANOTHER charity shop, simply the re-location of an existing one.
I'm simply grateful that the redevelopment hasn't scared them off too: thusfar the number of businesses leaving keynsham as a result of the 'improvement' is nothing short of a disaster.
there's NOTHING in keynsham i need now, aside from bread and milk. I HAVE to go to Bath or Bristol. :(

ReportIt's all very well complaining about the number of charity shops in Keynsham, but the reason there aren't more varied shops is because people don't use them so they close down.
