Snow in Keynsham today, but could we have 70mph winds tomorrow?

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Keynsham after a bit of snow fell earlier today.

Although it was quickly replaced by rain, more sleety showers are forecast for tonight - and it's going to be cold! The warmest temperature we can expect to see is 7C on Thursday, then dropping back to 5C on Saturday and Sunday  - so do wrap up warm.

The chance of a White Christmas seems a bit unlikely at the moment, but we've got a potential storm to deal with on Thursday night - if the Met Office can work out which direction the wind will be blowing.

Met Office forecaster Alison Richards said: "There is a big storm in the Atlantic heading our way and it is not quite sure where it is going to hit, but we are predicting the possibility of winds up to 70mph.

"We will be regularly updating our forecasts and warnings, so we advise everyone to stay up to date with the latest situation."
