Metal grilles went back up at The Pioneer pub in Keynsham this week. The pub in Station Road, which has been for sale since last year, was also boarded up for a time before a temporary landlord was installed in the spring.

The pub is for sale through Bath-based property consultants James A Baker with an asking price of £250,000 plus VAT for the freehold.
The Pioneer's recent history is troubled. In 2009 a violent brawl broke out in the pub and last year there was a stabbing outside the pub.

Fleurets have told us today that the freehold sale of the property has now been competed and that they have been instructed to find a tenant for the new owner.

ReportHi Dexter, yes a To Let sign has gone up, but the Fleurets website is saying that the pub is under offer. I have contacted the agents today to find out what the situation is and will update you when I hear back from them.
