Oldfield through after bruising clash

OLDFIELD Three superb second-half tries from Isaac Weier, Ian Thomas and Rob Payne helped Oldfield overcome committed local rivals Keynsham in a bruising Bath Combination Cup encounter at Shaft Road.
Home replacement Ben Staunton had his jaw broken by a punch from a Keynsham player, who was red-carded as a result, as Oldfield progressed to the semi-finals of the competition.
Oldfield struggled for any rhythm in the first half, as a much-changed and unfamiliar line-up took its time to settle. A Rob Payne penalty was all they could manage as Keynsham had the better of the first half, using the strong wind to good effect scoring two tries through their forwards to take an 12-3 lead into the interval.
Oldfield upped the tempo in the second period without ever really leaving their comfort zone and a trio of scores saw them through, although a late Keynsham score made for an interesting finish.
Cullompton are Saturday's visitors to Shaft Road in South West 1 West (2.30pm).

How can you score two tries and end up with 11 points ? Does the person writing this cr*p ever read what they have written ?
Usual sub-editing failure by the Chronic where junior rugby is concerned (though they occasionally seem to do it to Bath as well).
