Broadlands is now an academy
The 1,000-pupil school in St Francis Road recently adopted academy status and became part of the Essex-based Academies Enterprise Trust.
The current uniform is a navy blue sweatshirt and a white shirt, both with the Broadlands logo, and black or navy trousers.
Broadlands Academy's new principal, Dean Anderson, has told parents that he will be leading a consultation process on a new uniform that will be introduced in September but in the meantime is cracking down on students who wear leggings instead of trousers.
