Ellsbridge House in Keynsham is being transformed into a day-care nursey
Bath-based Snapdragons Nurseries will be opening a new nursery at Ellsbridge House, Keynsham, formerly Norton Radstock Veterinary College, in September.
Jobs created will range from apprenticeships to school leavers, as well as qualified childcare practitioners and degree-level leadership roles. There will also be an on-site training centre for both staff from the nursery and from other child care providers.
Snapdragons' owner, Bath mother-of-four, Rosemary Collard, said: "It's wonderful to be opening in such a premier location and we're very happy to be able to offer some good news on jobs in the current climate. We have some exciting plans for the new nursery."
"This training facility is the natural progression of our ongoing commitment to training in childcare expertise. Over the past fourteen years we have sponsored apprentices and furthered the learning of students from many local colleges including Bath College and Norlands. We have a skilled team, and are keen to share the knowledge we have built up. We will initially be offering Forest School training with own qualified Forest School Leaders."
Mrs Collard and husband Paul are in the process of renovating the Grade-II listed Ellsbridge House to restore the original proportions of the building and are also converting an old coach house into a creative arts studio where children can learn languages, dance, music and art.
The nursery will also have a garden offering plenty of space for the children to play in, as well as grow vegetables and look after resident pets.
It will initially have 100 places for children aged from 0 to five, and hopes to provide a further 50 places in the future.
Snapdragons Keynsham will be open from 8am to 6pm, five days a week. For further information, visit Snapdragon's website or call 01225 707009.
