Aslan Books has opened in St John's Church in Keynsham
The Aslan Books shop has hundreds of Christian books in stock plus a wide range of greetings cards for baptism, dedication, confirmation, ordination and thanksgiving.
The shop is open every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10am to noon but hopes to extend its opening hours.
The church would like to hear from anyone with a couple of hours to spare on a regular basis - contact the parish office 0117 986 3354.
Family Books, Keynsham's previous Christian bookshop, based in Temple Court, closed more than two years ago.
Aslan opened its first micro-site bookshop at St Michael's Church in Bath in March. There is also one at St Stephen's in the City Church in Bristol and there are plans for a fourth at an undisclosed Somerset church.
Aslan was founded by David Wavre, managing director of the Christian bookclub and mail order firm A Great Read Ltd, and the Rev Richard Greatrex, recently manager of Wesley Owen in Bath and formerly an area manager for SPCK Bookshops.
