Bath's Olympians and Paralympians took part in an open-top bus tour of the city this week and Siobhan, who at 16 was the youngest member of the Team GB swimming squad, had been expected to join them.
She told her fans on Twitter that she was "absolutely gutted" to have missed the parade which she had been looking forward to.
Siobhan lives in Bitton, trains at the University of Bath and started her career with Keynsham Swimming Club where she is still an active member.
She took part in the 4x100metres medley relay in the Olympics with Fran Halsall, Gemma Spofforth and Ellen Gandy in which Great Britain came eighth, and also in the 100m breaststroke heats.
