A new direct bus service from Bath to Bristol Airport, stopping on the way in Saltford and Keynsham, is being launched a month from today.
The new A4 bus service between Bath and Bristol Airport will stop en route in Keynsham, Saltford and south Bristol
Running almost around the clock, and operating hourly, Bath Bus Company's new 'A4' service will pick up passengers from outside the bus station in Dorchester Street and will also stop in Saltford, Keynsham, Hengrove and Bishopsworth, before joining the A38 and dropping passengers directly in front of the terminal.
Bath and North East Somerset Council's Conservative Group leader, Saltford councillor Francine Haeberling, said: "This new service will have a great benefit for our area, both in terms of cutting traffic and making it easier for local residents to get to Bristol Airport.
"It will finally make it possible for people in Bath, Saltford and Keynsham to get to Bristol Airport without having to resort to the car or getting the bus to Temple Meads first."
Starting on March 24, the new service will have a fleet of five double-decker buses and will provide a direct link between Bath and Bristol Airport. It will run hourly, with the first arrival from Bath at 4.15am and the last departure from the airport at 11.30pm.
Tickets can be purchased from the driver on board the bus or online in advance at www.bathbuscompany.com
Bath Bus Company is currently recruting for drivers for the new service on its website.
