Children turn on the style at Keynsham

MORE than 800 boys and girls from the region took part in the annual David Hathaway Transport Keynsham Mini-Rugby Tournament on Sunday.
A total of 59 teams attended, ranging from under-7s up to under-12s.
Avonmouth, Broad Plain, Chew Valley, Cinderford, Clifton, Chippenham, Cleve, Dings Crusaders, Trowbridge, Hornets and host club Keynsham all provided teams and turned on the style in front of 1,500 spectators at Crown Field.
Keynsham showed their strength in depth by winning three of the six age group cup finals, including the under-12s event, while Chippenham walked off with the plate.
It was the home club that lifted the under-11s and the under-9s cups.
Clifton picked up the under-8s and under-10s cup with Chippenham claiming the under-7s title. Clifton won the under-7s plate and Forest of Dean outfit Cinderford collected the under10s plate. Chippenham also landed the under-8s, under-9s and under-11s plate titles.

One of the top teams in the area St Marys were also well represented,as always in all of the age groups.
