If you missed Bitton Station in the BBC drama Upstairs Downstairs last night, you can catch it again on iPlayer until April 1.

The station, home to Avon Valley Railway, was transformed into a platform at Liverpool Street Station in the revived 1930s period drama which is in its second series.

The episode sees Jewish children arriving at the station, having been rescued from Nazi Germany.

How exciting to see a local landmark on television, although I'm more of a Downton girl than an Upstairs Downstairs fan. I'll definitely check it out on iPlayer.

Except you won't see much of Bitton station in the steam and fog, whilst you will see an inappropriate 1944 shunting engine and 1950's carriages being used to portray a 1938 mainline train. BBC corner cutting again!
