Bitton Station was transformed into 1930s Liverpool Street Station for the BBC drama Upstairs Downstairs
The station, home to Avon Valley Railway, was transformed into a platform at Liverpool Street Station in the revived 1930s period drama which is in its second series.

ReportHow exciting to see a local landmark on television, although I'm more of a Downton girl than an Upstairs Downstairs fan. I'll definitely check it out on iPlayer.

ReportExcept you won't see much of Bitton station in the steam and fog, whilst you will see an inappropriate 1944 shunting engine and 1950's carriages being used to portray a 1938 mainline train. BBC corner cutting again!
